BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY

I specialize in glamour photography and photo-retouching. My aim is to be a vehicle for you to express your passion: to portray empowered sexuality from the "female gaze."
Although much of my freelance commercial work does not look particularly revolutionary, I'm interested in creating alternative porn by and for women and queer folx. I also do video editing, and design discreet websites that are classy, search engine optimized, and simple for you to update - I know what works and what doesn't, and I want to give you the control to run your life, away from the prying hands of greedy intermediaries. I love helping strong-minded women create independent businesses that give them the freedom to explore all of their passions.

Random bits of JOY and DIY
"My artistic practice abides by a philosophy of "Joy": playing with the space between human beings, the rules, the roles, the boundaries. Making visible the private symbols shared by two people with common memories. Presenting as art, the games we construct to romanticize the spaces between us, the vocabulary we build to show one another that something sacred has taken place in fleeting moments where minds and bodies have touched. The language of the sacred, so often exploited to incentivize obedience, manipulate sentiment, extract effort. Separating the sacred from its profane uses. Preserving the truth in fiction."
I love working with wood, metal, fabric (sewing), and digital multimedia (Arduino, MaxMSP). I'm still trying to develop my collage/mixed medium, digital-organic style, and I definitely don't consider myself a very good artist. The main purpose thus far in my artwork has just been stuff that I hope makes people feel happy, and inspire people to be more empathetic towards others.

I made a thumb piano for Mother's Day, using scrapwood, a $5 electric clamp from the hardware store, and wire fencing. I tuned the strings to the pentatonic scale, to play a Chinese lullaby for Mom.

Birthday gift for my friend, commemorating some of the good times we've had.
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY & Street Art
The Streets are for the People! I love street art, anti-art (Molly Crabapple's "Dr. Sketchy" style), outsider art, and creative uses of public spaces. Got skillz in wheatpasting, stenciling, and mural art. Also did some street performing while backpacking in Central America, Europe, and Asia. I want to do more street art, plant/eco-art, algorithmic and AR art, combined with movement and dance.
